Class Descriptions
Contemporary I
An introduction to contemporary and beginner phrases/choreography. Students will focus on utilizing plié to become grounded and comfortable with steps different from ballet. The students will also begin playing with improvisation and basic partner work such as weight-sharing. Ages 8-11.
Contemporary II
This class leans more towards intermediate/advanced skills. Fundamentals will be worked at the beginning of the semester, but students will progress faster than Contemporary 1. They will become comfortable with floor work and shared improvisation by the end of the semester. They will also be able to demonstrate an adequate understanding of choreography and non-ballet movement. Ages 12+
Registration and Fees
A registration fee is required per individual student, or per family when more than one child is enrolled. Class fees vary by program and level.
