Story to Stage Theatre Camp

She has directed over 75 stage productions. Her award-winning short film, Close the Door, is currently receiving accolades on the festival circuit. In addition to directing, Michelle has also worked as a casting associate for major motion pictures and independent films.

As an actor, Michelle has performed in over 50 plays, television shows, commercials, and films, including Tammy Duane in the Oscar-nominated film Johnny Flynton, and she has been a member of SAG-AFTRA for 20 years.

Her screenplay, The Holler, has placed in several highly competitive and industry-respected screenplay competitions, including the International Page Awards and BlueCat Screenplay Competition. She has also written numerous feature, short, and commercial scripts.

As a certified k-12 theatre teacher with 18 years of experience in education, Michelle has taught theatre, acting, and film in public schools and as a private coach. She loves sharing her passion for story and stage with students of all ages.


Christin Ross is a playwright, poet and teaching artist. She received a BFA in Theatre Studies from Southern Methodist University and trained with the British American Drama Academy in London.

As a playwright, Christin’s work has been professionally produced in New York, DC, Dallas, Boston, Seattle and Chattanooga. She was a National Finalist of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival for her play Cold Soup and won a residency at the Incubator Arts Project in NYC for her play Morbid Poetry. A collection of her poems, the basis for Morbid Poetry, was recently published into a book.

Before moving with her family to Chattanooga, Christin taught playwriting and creative drama with the acclaimed Arena Stage and Imagination Stage in Washington, DC. She loves working with young storytellers as their imaginations are limitless and inspiring.

Campers will embark on a creative adventure, learning story creation, acting, and production under the guidance of two theatre professionals who love the stage and the magic of working together to tell a good story. Through theatre games, improvisation, and scene work, campers will develop confidence, refine their performance skills, and explore the art of bringing characters to life. The week will end in a special performance for family and friends at 1 PM on Friday.


Come share your imagination with us and the stage! 


Please pack a lunch, water bottle, and a snack.  Wear comfortable clothes and shoes (no flip-flops).
