John Bratton

John Bratton is a composer, arranger, private lesson teacher and conductor in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to moving to Chattanooga, John was the Associate Director of Bands at Campbell High School in Cobb County, Georgia. Through his experience as a teacher, he was inspired to begin teaching private lessons, as well as composing and arranging music for bands. ​ John’s experiences include playing trombone with the JSU Marching Southerners, JSU Hardcorps, JSU Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds. While at JSU, he studied trombone under Dr. James Roberts and Dr. David Lambert. He also studied conducting with Dr. Kenneth G. Bodiford. Outside of the college bands, John was also very involved with Drum Corps International. He was a member of the 2008 Racine Scouts AAA (now open class) Drum and Bugle Corps playing baritone. After 2008, John went on to march with the Carolina Crown Drum and Bugle Corps for four years 2009, 2010, 2011 as well as their world championship season in 2013.
