Elizabeth DeSeguirant

Elizabeth DeSeguirant holds a dual BA in Fine Arts/Theatre Arts and has enjoyed an exciting career teaching, dancing, choreographing and producing in cities across the US, including NYC, Philadelphia, Chicago, Houston, Washington, DC and Tampa, FL. She has danced with numerous companies and residencies including Psophonia Dance Company (TX), Dancepath Theater (TX), Hope Stone's Hopewerks (TX), Amalgamate Dance Company (NYC), and Gin Dance Company (DC), as well as served as faculty member and choreographer for a number of schools and studios including YES Prep Southeast (TX), BalletNova center for Dance (DC), Metropolitan School of the Arts (DC), Premier Dance Academy (FL) and St. Petersburg College (FL). Elizabeth has also served as assistant producer for Project Dance Times Square, Choreographer for the NYC equity production of Job and the Snake, Choreographer for YAGP finalists and semi-finalists, and guest choreographer for numerous recitals, solos and showcases. In 2015, Elizabeth started the project-based dance company ONELIGHT which seeks to serve local artists, professionals, and audience members with work that will have a positive and lasting effect. To date, ONELIGHT has raised and helped raise over $8,000 for organizations that serve their local communities with vital, life-changing services. Elizabeth also served as co-founder of Pinellas Dance Collective and BRIDGEfest, an organization and annual production that worked to connect dancers and professionals in the greater Tampa Bay area through teaching, class and performance opportunities. Elizabeth and her family moved to Chattanooga in the Spring of 2020. She currently teaches at Chattanooga Ballet and Mountain Arts Community Center. onelightdance.org

ONELIGHT KIDS DANCE DIVISION

Wednesdays

January 17 -  May1

No classes 3/13 (Spring Break)


4:00 - 4:40 - Creative Movement (*ages 3 & 4)

Specifically created for children ages 3 and 4, this movement class encourages your child to explore their imagination and creativity while developing vital coordination skills and allowing for inspired self-expression.


4:45 - 5:25 - PreBallet (*ages 5 & 6)

Created for children who are new to dance or have completed Creative Movement.  Building on basic dance concepts, students will continue to develop coordination skills while being offered an opportunity to explore their imagination and creativity.


5:30 - 6:25 - Level 1/2 (*ages 7 - 10)

Following a traditional Ballet Class structure, students are guided though a ballet barre, center exercises and progressions across the floor.  Dancers will develop foundational technique and understanding of terminology while given opportunities to creatively apply artistry and imagination to these learned skills.  Prior dance experience is not required. Students who do have dance experience will be challenged with more advanced modifications as appropriate.



TEEN JAZZ & CONTEMPORARY

(*Ages 11 & up)

Tuesdays, 6:00-6:55 pm

January 16 - April 30

NO CLASS 3/12

Utilizing the foundations of ballet training, students will learn to apply their technical know-how to the classical styles of Jazz and Contemporary.  Working on a rotating basis, students will be offered training in both styles throughout the semester and touch on concepts such as release, improvisation, isolations, fluidity, expression, movement versatility and so much more!  Recommended for student with prior dance training.


*Students ages 7-10 with little to no experience who would like to train in contemporary, please see Ms. Lauren's Junior Contemporary on Tuesdays from 6:00-6:50 pm.  Ms, Lauren offers a fantastic introduction to this form of movement, preparing the student for more advanced studies.

Individual Student: $20
Family: $30

Tuition fees
Creative Movement: $210 per semester (15 classes)
Pre-Ballet: $210 per semester (15 classes)
Level 1/2: $225 per semester (15 classes)

Teen Jazz & Contemporary: $225 per semester (15 classes)

Registration is non-refundable.  Tuition is refundable at a pro-rated rate or transferable to another semester.  Siblings who are registered at the same time receive a $15 discount on second registrant.

ONELIGHT ADULT DANCE DIVISION

OPEN LEVEL BALLET

NO CLASS: 3/12 (Spring Break)

Open to students Beginner to Advanced, Elizabeth will guide dancers through a traditional Ballet barre, center and progressions across the floor.  Whether you are a beginner looking to learn more or a seasoned dancer looking to maintain and build technique, this open class is structured to allow each dancer an opportunity to grow and learn!


OPEN LEVEL JAZZ

Tuesdays

7:00-8:00 PM

January 16 - April 23

NO CLASS: 3/12 (Spring Break)

Whether you are new to dance or want to build and maintain technique, this fun, energetic class will get you warmed up, teach and build on basic jazz concepts and finish off with combinations that wont disappoint!


INT/ADV BALLET CONTEMPORARY

Wednesdays

6:30-8:00 PM

January 17 - April 24

NO CLASS: 3/13 (Spring Break)

Open to Intermediate/Advanced dancers.  Join Elizabeth in these unique and fun Ballet/Contemporary combo classes.  Warm up with a traditional Ballet Barre & Centre.  Finish with a fun contemporary combination.  Some dance experience recommended for this level.

10-class card: $130

5-Class Card: $70

Drop-In Rate: $15

Class cards do not expire.

No registration fee is required for adults.  Students must still register with the MACC for classes.
