The Briars - Americana Showcase

The Briars are back at THE MACC with their Americana Showcase, and it's going to be another good one!  Richard Daigle, Katrina Barclay, and The Briars will each be sharing their own brand of locally made Americana music with you in an auditorium that is perfect for the occasion.

Richard Daigle is a recent transplant to the Chattanooga area, but he has already become a key player in the local music scene.  His songs range from witty to tear-inspiring, and his guitar playing prowess matches his penchant for personable lyrics.  He spent years as writer/editor and communications specialist, and he brings his knack for connection through words to each of his wide-ranging songs.

Katrina Barclay writes songs that refuse to be forgotten.  Her specialty is intense emotion, and her songs prove that she knows how to get in touch with them all.  Get ready, because she will take you there, too.  She is an award-winning performer and writer from nearby in Alabama, and her resume includes knocking them dead at Nashville's famous Bluebird Cafe.

The Briars feature Jerris Schmidt and Robert Lovett.  The music they make is sure to please anyone who appreciates modern, melodic songs with acoustic textures rooted in traditional American music.  Their debut album was released at The MACC, and they are constantly creating more Americana goodness.  Vocal harmonies are the bow that ties everything together, and the joy of working together truly comes through when they share their homemade, heartfelt sounds.
