The Houston Museum is excited to partner with the MACC and local weavers to share antique coverlets collected by Anna Safley Houston alongside modern woven art.
The juxtaposition of the 1800s coverlets shown in comparison to modern woven art showcases the importance of traditional mediums and how they continue to influence artists today.
Also on display are glass and ceramic items from the Houston Museum’s collection. Exhibit runs through February 25.
