Children Ages 5-8
This week-long camp will introduce younger kids to the fascinating world of ancient art, with a focus on Egyptian art and other ancient civilizations. They will have the opportunity to create their own decorative papers with a crocodile theme, experiment with various mediums to create a Blue Hippo, learn about cave art through chalk rubbings, use metallic oil pastels to create a Royal Egyptian Cat, and use metallic colored pencils on black paper to design scarab beetles.
Lessons will be designed to meet state standards for art education, ensuring that kids are learning while having fun and being creative. The camp will run from 9:00am to 12:00pm from Monday to Friday.
The cost of the camp is $225 and a $50 supply fee to cover the cost of materials. This is a great opportunity for young kids to learn about art history and expand their artistic skills in a fun and engaging way.
Session Two - July 8-12
Ages 9-12
Students in this Ancient art class for older kids aged 9-12 will have the opportunity to explore various ancient art forms and create their own masterpieces. The classes will cover topics such as the Head of a bull, Egyptian Scarab beetle, Royal Egyptian Cat, and Egyptian Cat and Heron printmaking.
The lessons are designed to meet state standards for art education, providing a well-rounded experience for young artists. The class will run from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, allowing students to delve deep into the world of ancient art throughout the week.
