Lauren Day - Summer Dance Camps

Young Children's Camps:

Join us as we explore different ballet variations and characters each day, learning through dancing, crafting, acting, and creating!

Date and Time:

June 6-9th or July 5-8th 

  • Little Dancers Variations Camp- 9am-10:30am, ages 3&4, Cost: $90

  • Young Dancers Ballet Variations Camp- 10:30-12:30, ages 5-7, Cost: $125

  • Registration to hold your spot: $15

Youth and Junior Dance Intensive:

Let your dancer be immersed in a week of full dance and learning!  Students will start the day with conditioning, ballet technique, and will alternate each day with jazz and contemporary, a blend of ballet and modern.

Each day we will study a new aspect of dance history, diving into where dance began, where it evolved, and where we are now.  Dancers will learn a new variation each day, and will be a part of the choreography process. which they will present at the end of the day Friday.

Date and Time:

June 20-24th or July 18-22th

  • 10am-3pm, ages 8 and up.

  • Includes: Dance Conditioning, Ballet Technique, Dance History, Lunch with Dance Film Study of the Day, Costume Making, Jazz/Contemporary, and Choreography with Costumes to present and perform at end of day Friday.

  • Tuition is $155, Early Bird Rate $145

Tiffany Henry - Minecraft World                                               Adventure Camp

Join us for some Minecraft fun using Minecraft Education Edition, an open-world game that promotes creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving in an immersive environment where the only limit is your imagination. In this camp, children will use their skills in building, creativity, and solving challenges. They will design spaceships that will launch them to Mars where they will build a sustainable colony with limited resources on real Martial terrain. They will also work collaboratively to build and design the world’s best Theme Park, complete with roller coasters, water slides, and haunted houses!

Lindsay Manning - Photography and Filmmaking

Kid Photographers Camp (Age 8-12) 
May 29-June 2 / June 26-30
Mon-Fri 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. ($240)

Introduction to digital photography (DSLR cameras) and editing. ALL CAMERAS AND EQUIPMENT PROVIDED! Campers will spend the first part of the week in the studio learning all about exposure and camera basics, rules of composition, motion, lighting, focus, and perspective. Campers will also learn how to import and edit their photos to enhance it to the exact look they envisioned. Campers will then work on specific projects, both individually and in groups. We will also talk about how to apply these principles to iPhone/SmartPhone photography, and discuss how DSLR and smartphones have their own benefits and drawbacks. The highlight of our week is the last hour of camp where the campers host an open gallery where their best images are on display. Family and friends are invited to attend the open gallery event and celebrate the incredible achievements of each camper. Mon- Fri 1pm-4pm for $240/week. All cameras and editing equipment will be provided. No experience necessary, but space is limited!

Teen Photographers Camp (Age 13-18)

Does your child want to be a YouTuber? Maybe just like to entertain others in a cool, creative way? Campers will learn all about what goes into making a compelling video, then work in teams to produce a quality video project from a list of choices. At the end of the week we will have a viewing party where campers can sit back and watch their work on the big screen. Family and friends are invited to attend the viewing party and celebrate the incredible achievements of each camper. ALL CAMERAS AND EQUIPMENT PROVIDED! Mon- Fri 1pm-4pm for $240/week. No experience necessary, but space is limited!

Teen Filmmakers Camp (Age 13-18) 
June 19-23 / July 24-28
Mon-Fri 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. ($240)

Filmmakers are visual storytellers, but it usually takes an entire team to bring a story to life on the silver screen! In this camp we will learn how to use a digital video camera, using lighting, sound, and editing all as tools to tell a story. Campers will learn tricks of the trade, and what goes on behind the scenes: storyboarding, sequencing, continuity, composition, and the importance of quality lighting and audio. Each camper will take turns trying various roles, and see what they like best. By the end of the week, roll out that red carpet for the film premiere! Parents, friends, and family are welcome to watch as campers see their own hard work on the big screen! ALL CAMERAS AND EQUIPMENT PROVIDED! Mon- Fri 1pm-4pm for $240/week. No experience necessary, but space is limited!

Hannah Myers - Pottery (Classes are full but you may sign up for the waitlist)

Pottery for Rising 2nd-5th grades (This class is full but the class listed below still has availability.  You may sign up for this class and be placed on a wait list.))

Let’s get muddy! In this camp, students will learn basic hand building clay techniques. We will explore coil, pinch pot and hand building methods as well as glaze application and surface design. Campers will leave with one completed, ceramic birdhouse to hang and enjoy at home! It is recommended for students to wear clothes that are okay to get dirty. Please send your camper with a bottle of water, a light snack and an old towel from home.

 

Pottery for Rising 2nd-5th grades - July Session

July 11-15     9:30-12:30

$200/maximum six students

 

Let’s get muddy! During this week, campers will focus primarily on hand-building clay techniques including coil, pinch pot and slab built vessels. Campers will learn about glaze mixing, color application and surface design using stenciling, stamping and found object textures. Each camper will also have the opportunity to use the potter’s wheel to create a thrown vessel. It is recommended for students to wear clothes that are okay to get dirty. Please send your camper with a bottle of water, a light snack and an old towel from home.

Amy Cloud - Composer Camp,

Pre-Piano Camp

Pre-Piano Camp is for young children who enjoy music but have not yet begun taking lessons. We will spend an hour each morning using songs and games to learn about basic rhythm, solfege, piano topography, dynamics, and more!

Liz Moore  - Sports Performance Camp
                       Athletics Performance Camp

Liz Moore with StayInIt Physical Therapy, is a certified Sportsmetrics trainer, former Div. 1 athlete and licensed physical therapist with 20 years of experience. She has coached youth sports implementing injury prevention programs to correct body mechanics that can lead to injury while improving strength, stability, and agility for maximal performance.

Sports Performance Camp

Ages 12 and up

June 20-24:   5:00pm to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm

June 27-July 1:  5:00pm to 7:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm

Combining the basic principles of the Sportsmetrics Program with speed and agility training to improve the overall performance of the athlete and reduce the risk of injury. Camp is for ages 12 and up and space is limited to keep instructor/athlete ratio low. Register before April 15 and receive a free injury screening video analysis.

Athletic Foundations Camp

Girls Age 9-11

July 18-22:  5:00pm to 7:00pm

Camp focuses on the basics of body control, speed, coordination, strength and stability through fun games and competitions along with daily talks on nutrition, stretching and the mental and emotional aspects of competing. All levels and abilities are welcome and space is limited to keep instructor/athlete ratio low.
