My heart wants to sing every song it hears!

“My heart wants to sing every song it hears” is a recital featuring songs for everyone—a celebration of music as a powerful force for connection: between friends, between traditions, and between performers and their community. Soprano Eleni Nicholas and mezzo-soprano Jessica Kodsi have curated a program that reflects both their classical training and the repertoire they enjoy performing. Joining them are pianist and violinist Margaret Cooke and pianist Elia Nicholas. 

The program is divided into two halves. The first half features operatic arias and duets that capture the beauty, drama, and emotional intensity of the classical tradition. The second half showcases beloved songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music, presenting audience favorites that celebrate joy, hope, and the timeless appeal of golden-age musical theater.
