Projects include pinch, coil and slab techniques, and learning to center clay on the potter's wheel. Students will make cylinders and bowls. Cost: $100. This one-of-a-kind enrichment program is at the forefront of S.T.E.M. Education and 21st Century Learning. Children go on a unique "island" adventure where they work in collaborative tribes to take on various STEM/STEAM challenges using only the materials in their treasure chest and their creativity. Adventure to Hollywood Island during fall break and take on challenges at star-studded destinations including Wicked Witch Twist, Wizardry Academy, and Dinosaur Park! Cost: $75. Min: 8 students. Kids go on natural adventures in their own back yards, investigate wetland and water quality at Rainbow Lake, go fossil hunting on Lookout Mountain, and search for the elusive cave salamander. Start with a concept and design a costume to fit, using everyday objects and clothes from your own closet while learning basic stage makeup techniques from wounds to zombies.
